Concerts in the Park

My husband and I so enjoy going to the concerts in the park.  What a great way to relax, enjoy good music and be outdoors.  It is also a reasonably priced date!  Generally we take food and drink, sit back and relax.  Or, at other times we stop by one of the local grocery stores or sandwich shops and pick up sandwiches.  Next thing you know we are tapping our feet and keeping time with the beat.  If you ever are planning on having a party and need live music it is a great way to hear the various groups.

One can relax with the beat several nights a week.  Between the concert in Folsom and the three they have at Town Center in El Dorado Hills I would be willing to bet we get to hear all the best of the local groups.  Recently we heard “Grooven Thang”.  Wow, they play all sorts of music and do it so well you would think they took lessons directly from the original recording artists.  So far we haven’t been brave enough to dance but time will tell.  By the end of the season we will see if we are brave ones or not!

So, come on out on a Thursday or Friday night and join the party.  You never know who you will bump in to.  Don’t be shy; there is no reason not to take advantage of some of the perks of living in such a great area.  Folsom is not just about the prison :-)

Blogging is a way to attend a cocktail party but not actually be at someone else’s home. In this fast paced life we lead it is sometimes nice to sit at home, relax and still feel like you can still participate in various things throughout the area in which you live. My goal is to have this blog accomplish just that. With your help I hope it becomes a voice of not only Folsom and our surrounding communities such as El Dorado Hills, Rancho Cordova, Fair Oaks, perhaps Sacramento to name a few.

It won’t just be about real estate although I am sure that will be a topic discussed often but also about what is happening in the local schools, city politics, shopping , restaurants , employment, local getaways and activities -- in fact, we can discuss whatever you like. So, visit often and comment without feeling as if you are being judged. You only need to be you.

So, welcome to FolsomLivingBlog.com. It’s about all of us and our community!
